    Hi,

I have migrated Blogs from wordpress to sitefinity. Now I want to keep the urls same as it was there in wordpress.

    Word press url :

    http://<My Domain>/ethnic-dukaan-delivers-you-the-fashion-of-india-right-to-your-doorstep

    Current Sitefinity URL:

    http://<My Domain>/wedding-ideas/iws-blog/

    2015/07/17/ethnic-dukaan-delivers-you-the-fashion-of-india-right-to-your-doorstep

    I want to make as

    http://<My Domain>/ethnic-dukaan-delivers-you-the-fashion-of-india-right-to-your-doorstep

Can I do this by url rewriting and will this impact on SEO ranking of the url.

    Please Share your thoughts.

    Thank You

    Chandresh

    Hello Chandresh,

If you are only rewriting the URL and not redirecting there shouldn't be a huge impact on the SEO.

Another option you might want to try, however, is to create a custom provider with a custom URL format for the blog posts. This way Sitefinity will generate the URLs in your desired way. You can refer to the following blog post for more information: http://www.sitefinity.com/blogs/slavoingilizov/posts/slavo-ingilizovs-blog/2011/10/19/custom_url_formats_for_sitefinity_content_modules
