We are very close to another important Sitefinity 4.0 milestone. Next week the Sitefinity team will release the BETA build of Sitefinity 4.0. Be sure to attend the webinar to see all the highlights.
In April we released the Sitefinity 4.0 CTP. This pre-BETA release provided the Sitefinity community with an early look at Sitefinity 4.0. The Sitefinity 4.0 BETA will deliver even more features & enhancements. Here are just a few of the features available in the BETA release:
- Form Builder
- Page Filters
- Libraries (Documents, Videos, Images)
- Fluent API
All of these features are delivered alongside the enhancements already introduced by Sitefinity 4.0 CTP:
- Desktop Project Manager
- Page Layout Editor
- Configuration Editor
- Backend Page Editor
- Web Services
- Advanced Taxonomy
Also, a quick reminder that Sitefinity CMS includes other Telerik products (RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX and RadControls for Silverlight). Sitefinity 4.0 will also include Telerik’s OpenAccess ORM.
This Sitefinity 4.0 BETA webinar is part of Telerik’s Q2 2010 release week. The products mentioned above have their own webinars detailing what’s new in these releases. I would encourage everyone to attend these webinars to find out how you can leverage these new features in your own projects.
In the coming weeks we’ll release a Service Pack for Sitefinity 3.7 that includes the most recent releases of these products. Until then, you’ll need to experiment with these new features outside of your Sitefinity web site.
