The Challenge
Corporate Design Group, Inc. (CDG) is a comprehensive interior design firm that has been delivering unique interior solutions to commercial, healthcare, assisted living, and residential clients since 1991. With a mature reputation and remarkable portfolio of work already in hand, CDG needed to build an equally impressive online presence that would:
- Creatively communicate the experienced and professional, yet fun and inviting culture that the company is known for.
- Strongly anchor and complement existing brand collateral and future marketing campaigns.
- Uniquely highlight each client project completed and provide website visitors with an informative and interactive experience when reviewing them.
- Build greater brand awareness for CDG online by optimizing website pages of the website to fall within top search engine result pages for particular keywords and keyword phrases.
The greatest challenge on this project was to meet the aforementioned objectives of the project in an extremely creative manner while still empowering CDG employees with a website that they would be able to make subsequent updates and future additions to without the fear of compromising the integrity of the work that was to be done by Higher, and without the need to rely heavily on technical staff to do so.

The Solution
Higher chose Sitefinity for this project because we needed a reasonably priced content management system that would make the first transition for a mature company like CDG from a static website wholly maintained by technical staff to a dynamic one that non-technical staff could manage an easier one.
The out-of-the-box modules for providing news, blogs, email sign-up, user authentication, and image and document management met a significant number of project requirements from the start and as such greatly reduced the need and cost for developing the same functionality from scratch. Additionally as the primary development environment of choice at Higher is based on a Microsoft Windows Server, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and Visual Studio framework, our team had complete confidence that any future extensibility of the website requested by the client could be accommodated and guaranteed even if it fell without the capabilities of the current capabilities of the content management system

Since the launch of the new Corporate Design Group website, the company has increased the online awareness for its brand by securing top search engine result page rankings for their new website pages and blog posts under relevant keyword phrases such as “commercial interior design firm sacramento”, “healthcare interior design sacramento”, and “lastertech floorplans”.
