    Hi Fregas,

    We have discussed your problem with our developers today and we suppose that this issue is related to your server settings.  Could you please check the following things on your Windows 2003 box:
    1. Make sure that you are working in Full Trusted environment;
    2. You transferred all files from Windows XP PC to the Windows 2003 PC;
    3. Permissions for the project are set correctly.
    If you are still having problems with your project, we kindly ask you to send it to us in order to be able to test it here. Also, we need the settings of the virtual folder that belongs to the deployed project. You may export them into an . xml file (Save Configuration to a File option).

    Did you create your own modules as well?

    Greetings,
    Bogdana Ivanova

    I was hoping that the RC1 version would fix this, but it didn't.  I exported my site settings and will email them to your support address.

    Hello Fregas,

    We have not received your email yet.
    In the meantime, can you please have a look at the attached sample 2003 server settings for the TIU Sample Site? Do tell us what is different in your settings.

    Try installing Sitefinity on a Windows Server 2003 and if it does not run, we will have to look at the settings of the Widows 2003 PC. If the Sitefinity sample sites work fine, this means that there is some problem with the settings of your site.

    We will also try to change the core assembly Telerik.Framework.dll to be able to trace all successful steps during initializing the application. However, this may take us several days to implement.

    Sincerely yours,
    Rebecca

    I was able to get the TIU working on that server, so its something to do with my code or how this particular Sitefinity project is set up.

    The plot thickens...

    I deployed the site by copying ALL MY SOURCE CODE and everything using exactly what i had in development and the EXACT SAME server settings that weren't working before.  That worked fine!  So at least i can show my customer's SOMETHING.

    However, if i build the site using a web deployment project or visual studio's publish site feature, I get the error above regardless of whether its on XP or win 2003.  Please note that i do have custom modules created that are using user controls.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Craig

    Hello Fregas,

    Deployment projects and publishing from Visual Studio have not been tested yet. They are in our to-do list. Thank you for drawing our attention to this.
