    Hi,

I have just been testing the news Module, and I am just wondering is it intended that you need to have an expiration date for a news item.  I couldn't get a news item to show until I realised I forgot to put the expiration date in.  So either could we be allowed not to have an expiration date for a new item or could it be validated so we can't put an empty one in by mistake.

Otherwise I think the news module is looking very good indeed.

    Regards
    Sean

    Hi Sean,

You are right, publication / expiration period is not always desirable. We will add a new property to the NewsList control to display modes like Active, Published and All.

    Hi,

it would be nicer on publication date, to be selected on the calendar the current date? This would demand fewer clicks and avoid mistakes.

    Hello Vagelis,

Good point. We are going to set default value (current date) for the publication date field in the News module. This will be availabe in the offical version of Sitefinity 3.0.

Thanks for drawing our attention to this.
