I have successfully upgraded Sitefinity from beta2 to beta3 on my local development server where I am running my site in the default installtion path:

    /localhost/telerik/SitefinitySampleSite

I am able to upload and edit templates successfully. However on my production server where the site is installed as the default website I cannot edit templates. I get a page not found (404) when I click on a template in the left-hand tree.

The http requests are as follows:

    localserver:
    13:35:20.005  0.062 s 14949 GET 127.0.0.1 200 text/html; charset=utf-8 http://localhost/telerik/SitefinitySampleSite/CorporateAboutUs.template?cmspagemode=preview&locknavigation=true telerik/SitefinitySampleSite > pages - Sitefinity 3.0

    production server:

    13:29:41.465  0.125 s 1635 GET  404 text/html http://s15228880.onlinehome-server.info/CorporateAboutUs.template?cmspagemode=preview&locknavigation=true pages - Sitefinity 3.0

Have I missed anything in upgrading the server from beta2 to beta3?

    Hi Len,

Actually we have missed something. When deploying a project you need to register .template and .rss extensions to map to aspnet_isapi.dll.

    Please do the flowing:

    1. Open properties window of the site in IIS management console
    2. Select Home Directory tab and click Configuration… button
    3. In the popup window click Add button
    4. In the Excitable field type the path to aspnet_isap.dll
    5. In the Extension field type .template
    6. Uncheck the checkbox that says Check that file exist
    7. Apply changes

    This should solve the problem

    Sorry for the incontinence,
    Bob
