    Hello Berkin,

From the information you sent us we assume that you are using SQL Server 2005 and that our database is attached.
Judging from the error 'Login failed for user 'Stfny3User', we think that the user is not a db owner. You can try to connect to Databse Sitefinity_3_0 with the same user through a different application (VS 2005, SQL Server Management Studio, etc.) If you succeed, please let us know. If you cannot connect to the db, you need to correct your user account and the permissions to connect to the database.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Rebecca

Yes Mustafa, but are you able to connect to the database with the same user using an application different from Sitefinty?

    Hello Mustafa,

Note that, to create a new connection, you have to restart IIS every time you make changes in SQL Server (permissions, logins).

In the meantime, we will be looking for other possible reasons to get this error message.

    Kind regards,
    Rebecca

    Hi Berkin,

In the meantime, you can get Sitefinity 3.0 alpha version working if you use SQL Express. To download the SQL Server Express database engine and Management Studio Express, click here:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/sql/download/
