Timeout issues could be caused by a number of reasons:
- your server could be set to have a short timeout interval, you might want to check and increase it
- you might have set up the Sitefinity database on a remote SQL server with high latency, so that it times out
- the server could be slow so that the task times out
What I'd recommend you to do is make sure you're running Sitefinity through IIS and check what the timeout interval is. That most likely will fix the issue.
