Similar problem to what this user had ( http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/forums/sitefinity-3-x/bugs-issues/creating-newsletter-failed-object-reference.aspx#683072 ) --- but our version of SiteFinity is running 3.7 SP3 (v3.7.2096.2)

So the SP has nothing to do with this nor does the membership provider... We are not using AD, I'll post the error here as well:

    Server Error in '/' Application.

Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:2.0.50727.4952; ASP.NET Version:2.0.50727.4955

This error occurs when creating a newsletter ( http://------.com/Sitefinity/Admin/Modules.aspx?module=Newsletters ).

After filling in the subject, sender details, and sent to... hitting the [Next: Write content] button results in the above error.

Any resolution to this, as we are not ready to migrate to version 4 just yet (we've purchased the license though!).

    Thank you,

    Mike P

    Hi Michael,

    1. Have you changed one of the following templates

    Sitefinity\Admin\ControlTemplates\Notifications\CreateNewsletter.ascx
    Sitefinity\Admin\ControlTemplates\Notifications\CreateNewsletter.ascx
    Sitefinity\Admin\ControlTemplates\Notifications\NewsletterPreview.ascx
    Sitefinity\Admin\ControlTemplates\Notifications\NewslettersTemplate.ascx

    2. Have you removed groups or subscribers programmatically or made any other changes to the database?

    All the best,

    Hi Michael,

If you install a new project that uses Sitefinity 3.7 Sp4 are you able to replicate this issue?

    Best wishes,
