Hi everyone! I've just found out this, once I made a search using sitefinity standar search control, it leads me to the list of results provided by the standar SearchResults Control, but some of those results have are borken links to pages that are currently on the site, but their path has been changed.
Is there something that I'm missing? or any way to fix it?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello Nachitous,

When you update an item the index is partially updated due to performance reasons. If you re index the entire website the broken links will disappear.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Nachitous,

It is possible, but you need to create a custom index. Please take a look at

Happy new year, and sorry for the late reply. [*]

I already have a index for blog post, and I don't want a custom index. I just need to clean the broken links from the search results, and reindexing the site doesn't seem to fix the problem.

[*]: I was trying to enter this thread thru the link in the response notification email but it always shows an error message (LINK) but going from my profile workend ok.

    Hello Nachitous,

There are two cases where you can have broken links

    1. The index is not entirely updated - you have changed the name of some posts
    2. BlogPosts page - the page which you have set when your blog is created is not correct. By default this should be the page on which you have BlogPosts control. This page is used by BlogIndexProvider to construct the url of your posts. When this page is wrong, the urls of the posts are also wrong.

    Kind regards,

Actually, some of the post are duplicated in the search results, but with different title and/or post date. If I go to the post from the list in the backend I can see them. So, I thought that maybe the database was dirty, and started to look for the broken urls in the sf_CmsContentBase table, and all the entries in that table matched the broken links, but I couldn't find the good ones. Where else they could be? Is this path a possible solution for this?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Nachitous,

I am not able to replicate this issue locally. The database cannot be corrupted if you have not made any manual changes to it, because all urls are dynamically generated. The ResultItem url is formatted by blog page set for each blog ( please check attached screenshot) and post url which is defined in the provider declaration inside <cmsEngine> node

    urlRewriteFormat="[Publication_Date]/[Title].aspx

That was the problem, the blog page was set fine, but the actual page was missing.

    Thank you for your support.
