    Hi guys.  I'm running 3.2 SP1, upgraded from 3.1.

I'm not sure how long it's been happening, but now when I click the "Create a Library" link button in the Libraries module, I get this:

    Exception Type: System.Web.HttpException

Message: Multiple controls with the same ID 'ctl00$hideCmd' were found. Trace requires that controls have unique IDs.

    Source: System.Web

    Stack Trace:
at System.Web.TraceContext.AddNewControl(String id, String parentId, String type, Int32 viewStateSize, Int32 controlStateSize)
       at System.Web.UI.Control.BuildProfileTree(String parentId, Boolean calcViewState)
       at System.Web.UI.Control.BuildProfileTree(String parentId, Boolean calcViewState)
       at System.Web.UI.Control.BuildProfileTree(String parentId, Boolean calcViewState)
       at System.Web.UI.Control.BuildProfileTree(String parentId, Boolean calcViewState)
       at System.Web.UI.Page.BuildPageProfileTree(Boolean enableViewState)
       at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

I haven't been able to find any templates or code with a "hideCmd" control.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

    Hi Dave,

Unfortunately, we cannot reproduce the problem neither with the new project nor with the upgraded one. Could you please describe in details the steps for reproducing this issue? Also, it will be very helpful if you send us both your project and database to figure out the reason for the described behavior.

Thanks for your cooperation in advance.

    All the best,
    Pepi

I've tracked it down to the following HTML that apparently gets rendered when displaying the Create a Library form.

    <link id="ctl00_hideCmd" href="/librarytest/sitefinity/admin/Themes/Default/wideMain.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /><link id="ctl00_hideCmd" href="/librarytest/sitefinity/admin/Themes/Default/wideMain.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /

As you can see there are two of the same LINK element rendered.  I was able to get this source by creating a new project.  I am not sure why it didn't error out in the new project as you can clearly see the IDs of the two LINK elements are the same.

Glad to hear it!  I don't suppose there is anything I can do now to fix/workaround?  It is still causing the above error in my application.

    Hi Dave,

Unfortunately, there is no workaround for this. It is an omission in the implementation of the Libraries module and you need to have access to the code in order to fix the problem.

Please, excuse us for the inconvenience caused.

    Kind regards,
    Pepi
