The delete buttons on generic content tags are not working in IE7 and IE8 in compability mode. Seams to be working in every other browser...

    Hello Mutantmannen,

We are not able  to reproduce  this issue. Please take a look at the attached video where IE8 is used even without enabling CompatibilityView mode.  If the section from where you are managing tags is different, please let us know.

    Kind regards,
    Ivan Dimitrov

    Hi.

I know it's working WITHOUT compabilti mode. I'm reporting a bug that it's NOT working WITH compability mode and in IE7.

The issue is inside the generic content edit, not in the tags edit themselves.

    Hi Mutantmannen,

I checked again using CompatibilityMode of IE 8 but I did not face any problems( attached is a video). Could you tell us what exactly is not working at your end. Any sreenschot or screencast will be appreciated. Thus will be able to investigate it properly. Under IE 7 there are not problems as well.

    Sincerely yours,

A client of mine found the problem initially. She is using IE7. I only have two 3.7 projects running, and got the error on one, but not the other. Then I checked with Firefox, to use the JavaScript error-window there to see what went wrong. But in Firefox it worked just fine. It was then I discovered that my browser was running in compability mode on the project not working. When I switch compability mode off - it works. I also checked my other 3.7 project. Same thing - working fine without compablity mode, not working in compability mode.

It looks to me to be some kind of JavaScript bug.

    Hi Mutantmannen,

We spend some time looking for your files, but unfortunately they didn't reach us. That is why I e-mailed you my contact details. Please provide me a link for download, or send me the files directly if they are below 10mb.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Mutantmannen,

We were able to reproduce the issue on some computers today. Still not sure what is causing it, but here is what you can. When you add a tag that you want to delete, just save the content right after you add the tag. Then edit the content item again, and click on the delete icon of the tag. This time, the tag should be deleted as expected.

We tested the issue with the current internal build, and everything is fine with it. In fact I tracked down the tags handling, and saw this area optimized. We are going to release 3.7SP1 next week.

I have updated your Telerik account for the cooperation you have provided though.

    Sincerely yours,
    Georgi

    Thanks,

Like I've said. This is not a problem for me. Just wanted to report the bug.
