When I publish a page or edit a page by editing a control on the page, adding a new one or deleting one, I randomly receive the following error:

    Exception information:
        Exception type: HttpException
Exception message: Multiple controls with the same ID 'LastAddedEvents1' were found. FindControl requires that controls have unique IDs.

The LastAddedEvents1 control is the first of a few usercontrols on the masterpage, I definitely don't use the same control name two or more times, they are all unique. Actually the normal page view doesn't show any problems. It mostly happens when I edit or publish a page.

    More error information:

    Thread information:
        Thread ID: 13
        Thread account name: IIS APPPOOL\DefaultAppPool
        Is impersonating: False

    Hi Jeffrey Paarhuis,

Can you please check all IDs of all controls on that page, and see if there are two controls with the same IDs - LastAddedEvents1?
You may do that by clicking on Edit, of each of the controls, and find the ID field.

    Best wishes,
    Georgi

There is absolutely no other control with the same ID. The error doesn't occur on the page view but only randomly when editing the page.

    Hello Jeffrey Paarhuis,

I have just seen that this has something to do with the toolbox items. Sorry for that.
Could you please let me know if your project is running on more than one server? Perhaps in one of the web.configs file, you have LastAddedEvents1 added more than once?

    Kind regards,
    Georgi

I don't use that control in the toolbox, it's just a custom usercontrol that I use on the masterpage. I've looked in the web.config and actually searched the whole project, but only on the concerning masterpage it's placed once and off course in the sitefinity.log.
The weird thing here is that the error comes randomly, but only when editing or publishing the page.

    Hello Jeffrey Paarhuis,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Could you please send us your master page, control and web.config file. We would like to take a look at them and see what might be wrong.
