    hi,
I am using a news module to display the news. On the backend side i.e cms site there is a problem with the field Publication Date:

        - On the page 'News > News Item' it display the diffrent time while on edit page for the the same news item , it display different time
            e.g. on News Item page Date is : 05 Aug 2009, 09:30
and on Edit 8/6/2009 3:00 AM

         - At the time of adding new news item it display default date-time in publication date textbox , after saving with default publication date, on the 'News item' page it disaplay the date with different time.

I want to resolve this problem but dont know how ??
    Pls help.

    Hi Nisha,

Can you please confirm the version that you are using? Can you also check the time zone of your server? You can calculate the time difference between your time zone and the server's time zone. Do you see any relation with the time zone difference and the news dates difference?

    Kind regards,
    Georgi

    Hi Nisha,

We managed to find what is going on. It is because of a culture Date cast. The Date in the News Module grid is wrong, but the one on the public site and during item edit should be OK. We will try to fix that in some of our next releases.

    Kind regards,
    Nikolai

It's not just that it's displaying the incorrect date/time on the grid.  It also uses the same incorrect date/time to publish News items to RSS feeds, causing them to publish at a different time than those in the public controls used on CMS pages (which do seem to work correctly).  I'm on 3.6 SP2, right now.  I have just submitted a support ticket with greater details on this issue.
