    Hi there,

When I'm adding a generic content element (or e.g. news view / news archive) to my page from within Sitefinity 3.7 I get the error below. I don't get this error when I'm adding other controls such as Image, Image Gallery, Video. Can you help please?

    Thanks,
    Jon.

I've done a bit more work on this, and I can narrow it down a bit... it happens on my Vista / IIS7 development machine but not on my 2003 SP2 / IIS6 server. I do have other sitefinity sites running on my development machine, which work perfectly but they are v3.6. Also, I've tried using your default.master in the blank project template and I'm still getting the same problem.

    Hello Jonathan,

We are not able to reproduce this problem locally. It seems there is something specific between both the servers you have like IIS settings, NETWORK SERVICES permissions, custom settings to Sitefinity you have made. Most probably the issue is related to some configuration of the severs, but If you would like we could try to reproduce the problem locally with your project. You can open a support request and attach your database and website or send us external link from where we could download all files.

    Hi there,

Just in case anyone else comes across this bug, the SP1 update fixed it without modifying my IIS settings etc.
