    Hi guys, i have recently noticed an issue with RadEditor whereby it forces invalid markup and refuses to be told otherwise!

    If you attempt to enter some object tag as such:
    <object height="218" width="233" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="/swf/some-flash-file.swf" id="swfCar" style="visibility: visible;">
        <param name="movie" value="/swf/some-flash-file.swf" />
        <param name="quality" value="best" />
        <param name="scale" value="noscale" />

        <param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
    </object>

    when you view save or go to WYSIWYG and back to code view the closing parts of the param tag are removed. this is not valid xhtml as the tags are never closed.

    i have checked this with your demos online and the same effect is observed! How do we go about correcting this issue?

    Thanks!

    Hello Nick,

    This is an issue related to the RadEditor control and it persists in FireFox browser. In IE 8 there should not be problem with the closing tags of param elements. Here is a related forum post from where you can gather some more info and workaround.

    Hi Ivan,

    I've tried the same in IE8 and the effect may be even worse - it completely removes the param tags, leaving only the wrapping object tag!

    any further ideas?

    Thanks :-)

    Hi Nick,

    I am not able to reproduce an issue with IE browser. I attached a sample video. Unfortunately I am not able to provide you with another suggestion than this one made on the other forum post I gave you.
