    Hello,
    I'm using the sitefinity 3.7 trial release. I've created a new master page and theme and that seems to be working fine and also changed the scriptmanager to radscriptmanager on all the master pages for use in my custom module.

    However, I can not edit any of the pages now, even the one's based on a different master page. Any idea of what I could have done wrong or broken? There are no errors in the sitefinity.log file in the app_data file.

    Thanks, Burl

    Hello Burl,

    What do you mean by "However, I can not edit any of the pages now, even the one's based on a different master page." Can you reach the edit page area? Could you try adding the following page to your website and try to edit it

    <%@ Master Language="C#" %>

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

    <script runat="server">

    </script>

    <head runat="server">
        <title></title>
    </head>
    <body>
        <form id="form1" runat="server">
        <asp:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1" runat="server"></asp:ScriptManager>
        <div>
            <asp:ContentPlaceHolder id="ContentPlaceHolder1" runat="server"></asp:ContentPlaceHolder>
        </div>
        </form>
    </body>
    </html>

    Let us know how it goes.

    Kind regards,
    Ivan Dimitrov

    Hi Ivan,

    I made a copy of one of the build in templates Emerald-Blue and created an additional master page for my layout. I changed the scriptmanagers on all the master pages to radscriptmanagers. When I go into the Adminstration, pages, edit page.... everything is grayed out. I can't add content to any of the pages.

    <%@ Master Language="C#" %>

    <%@ Register Namespace="Telerik.Cms.Web" Assembly="Telerik.Cms" TagPrefix="sf1" %>
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

    <script runat="server">

    </script>

    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head runat="server">
        <title>Untitled Page</title>
        <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    </head>
    <body>
        <form id="form1" runat="server">
        <telerik:RadScriptManager ID="RadScriptManager1" runat="server">
        </telerik:RadScriptManager>
        <telerik:RadAjaxManager ID="RadAjaxManager1" runat="server">
        </telerik:RadAjaxManager>
        <div>
            <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="Content" runat="server">
            </asp:ContentPlaceHolder>
        </div>
        </form>
    </body>
    </html>

    Even if I change the radscriptmanager back to scriptmanager I still can't edit the page in SiteFinity. I've done something to kill the edit permissions but I just don't see it.......

    I've attached an image of the edit screen.

    Hi Burl,

    Switch to Classic Edit mode. Change the declaration of the content place holders using short closing tag.

    <asp:ContentPlaceHolder id="ContentPlaceHolder1" runat="server" />

    The problem comes from the way that div is rendered and it covers all ContentPlaceHolders

    All the best,

    Thanks Ivan,

    That did the trick! But I don't understand why the other master pages had that problem. The only thing I changed on those was the scriptmanager....... Have to add that to my "Danger will Robertson List".

    Thanks again for the quick replies.......
