This issue is generated by the last char added in the navigation bar. I will explain. If you are in generic contents your navigation bar is Modules.aspx?module=generic_content# with a last (#), now if you go to news the navigation bar is Modules.aspx?module=News# with same last char. After selecting the new provider the navigation bar is Modules.aspx?module=News#&DataProvider=BreakingNews. The # items is here. This is the problem, if move the # items between module and DataOProvider all works as escopted in FF and IE but with this item here only Chrome and safari are working fine.
Exist some easier way to fix this, like override the selector of ListProviders and delete this char # between
