    I'm attempting to publish my site to a staging server, but I'm running into several errors:

     - ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load
     - jQuery is not defined
     - Sys is not defined
     - Telerik is not defined

    I've read this troubleshooting guide, but none of the proposed solutions have helped.

    Specifically, I've tried adding the following to the web.config:

    <location path="Telerik.Web.UI.WebResource.axd">
       <system.web>
         <authorization>
           <allow users="*"/>
         </authorization>
       </system.web>
     </location>

    And, I've ensured that the following line exists under <system.webServer><handlers>

    <add name="Telerik_Web_UI_WebResource_axd" verb="*" path="Telerik.Web.UI.WebResource.axd" preCondition="integratedMode" type="Telerik.Web.UI.WebResource"/>

    Getting this site up ASAP is critical.  Please help!

    We found that the site was not running as an application in IIS, but we're now receiving a different error:

    "Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Sitefinity' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

    This error is thrown when trying to view the backend/admin portion of the site.  The front-end works fine.

    Telerik.Sitefinity.dll DOES exist in the bin folder, along with many other Telerik dlls.  (I copied the bin folder from my workinig local copy)  Is there something that needs to be registered in the GAC on the server?

    Hi Chris,

    "Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Sitefinity' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

    The dll is not in your bin or the project does not reference it. It could be also result of a missing proper version of the dll that is in the current context.

    All the best,
    Ivan Dimitrov

    Ivan,

    I copied the entire bin folder from my local to the server.  Every single DLL that exists locally and has been deployed.  The version cannot be wrong, because it was copied directly.

    The API is working, because the front-end site works...I only get this error when viewing the backend/admin section (http://[siteurl]/Sitefinity)

    When I look at the GAC on my local machine, I see two entries for "Telerik.Web.Design".  Is the Sitefinity framework looking for these directly in the GAC?  If so, what are the setup instructions?

    Please help!

    Hi Chris,

    The error says that the issue is related to Telerik.Sitefinity.dll, so Telerik's specific dlls should not be a problem in this case. The issue is related to Telerik.Sitefinity.dll.
