    Hi All,

    Here's our scenario:

We're running three major websites on three web servers hosted on virtual machines running the following:

    1. IIS6
    2. Win 2003 Standard Edition
    3. Oracle 10g
    4. Sitefinity 3.7

We do not have constant control over these servers and something's gone wrong in the interim in that we're getting constant 504 Gateway Timeouts.

The other thing that's happening is that if you hit one of the sites, that site is trying to pull themes from one of the other site's App_Themes folder in Sitefinity, which of course should not be happening at all.

If someone has any ideas on why this should suddenly have started happening I would appreciate it.

    Many thanks

    Hi Guys,

Just to let you know this is extremely urgent as three major sites are down at the moment. I would post a ticket but the SF ticketing systems takes much longer than the forums.

So if we can get some URGENT help with this, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    James

    Hello James@Nw,

504 Gateway Timeouts generally means that the communication between the client and server is lost.

    1. It is possible that you are trying to get a large amount of data which recycles the application pool or breaks the database server
    2. Custom controls which cause stack overflow
    3. Server side issue due to some other reasons - fixed time for restarting etc.

The issues with the Themes could be result of some sync issues in cases of web farm.

It is hard to tell you what the exact reasons for this behavior are.
