    Hello Sitefinity-Team,

    I want to user a jquery-script for my website. I've added all needed files but it does not work!
    As a test, I tried to do it in a simble html-file, where it works!

    Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

    Thank You,
    Gabriele

    Hi Gabriele Muerth,

    Thank you for using our services.

    jQuery does work with Sitefinity. As a matter of fact most of the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX (which are extensively used in Sitefinity) use jQuery. Most probably the references to the script files cannot be resolved property. You can try to use the following server controls to add script references (note they should not be added to the <head> tags of pages as those are not generic html controls:
    <%--Load latest version of jQuery library from Google CDN--%>
    <telerik:JsFileLink ID="jQueryLink" runat="server" FileName="~/PATHTOJQUERYLIBRARY" />
    <%--Load scripts from a js file on your website--%>
    <telerik:JsFileLink ID="jsLinl" runat="server" FileName="~/PATHTOYOURJSFILE" />

    Thank you for your answer.

    It works now on my local maschine, but if I copy it to the server, it does not work anymore. What could be the problem?

    Regards, Gabriele

    Hi Gabriele Muerth,

    Check whether the js you refer is loaded correctly and you use the correct path. You can use FF FireBug or IE Development tools

    Hi there,

    The refer to the js-files is correct, I checked it with the Developer Tool of IE.

    Is there maybe a setting in IIS or anywhere else?

    Thank you, Gabriele

    Hello Gabriele Muerth,

    Could you make sure that the js files you are referencing on the live environment exist on the server?

    HI,

    I think I got it now. Maybe a '&' in the path to the js-file was the problem. Whatever, it works now :)

    Thank you for your support :)
