    Hello,

I recently tried to deploy a site where the top link inside of a node was pointing to an external site. Pointing to an external site on the top link makes every other page error out. If I move the eternal link to another place other than the first, evertyhing works as it should. Can you please help me with this issue?

    Hi Chris Schrader,

I tried to reproduce the problem by using www.telerik.com/default.aspx as an external page, but the problem did not appear for me. Could you provide some more details or certain steps that you have followed before you get the error? What is the error you are getting? Does the problem persists if you use another external url - say www.telerik.com/default.aspx?

    Kind regards,

I tried the Sitefinity url and the same problem occurs, the entire app/iis pool freez up and I can not browse to anything. If the item is anywhere but in the top spot, all is fine. I am assuming it has something to do with one of the changes that I have made to the menu system, but not sure why/what exactly caused it. Here is a link to my previous help ticket, it will give you a background on the changes I have made to the menu.

    Hello Chris Schrader,

It looks like there is an endless loop. I suggest that you should attach the project to VS debugger and see whether something makes any loops. Check the log file - App_Data/Sitefinity.log for any silent errors.
