    hello,

I am having some problems with deploying the content/images to a different server and i hope you can help me with this.

We filled our website with content and images on a development server.
    lets say:  serverA/hostnameA/Images/image.gif
now i am finished with the website and i need to migrate it to our production server. the thing is that the path on our production server is different. i.e. serverB/Images/image.gif.
Sitefinity replaces the servername which is good but it does not replace the hostname. so it changes it to serverB/hostnameA/images/image.gif which then results in a lot of red crosses.
since there is no hostnameA on the production server.

I tried changing the paths to .../images but Sitefinity automaticly change it to /hostname/etc/

Is there a quick way to change all of the paths before i migrate it to our production server?

    Thank you

    Hi,

You could write a SQL Script to find and replace all the instances where it exists in the tables.  The tables you need to look at are

    sf_CmsControlProperty
    sf_CmsTextContent

And I think that is it.

Alternatively, and this is they way I did it, to deploy my Databases to the production server I use the SQL Server Database Publishing Wizard.  Which basically creates a script to recreate all your tables and their data.  Once it is has created that script I open it in SQL management Studio and do a Find and Replace in there, and then run the script on the production server. Of course this way you have to do it before you deploy.

    Hope that helps
