    before i start id like to say thanks to the sitefinity team i have managed to muddle through and get most of what i want to do working and i can definately say this is developer friendly... which naturally means its a pain in the arse to design for as all developers hate designers lol.

    anyway im using SiteTabStrep as a horizontal menu on our test site webdev . xrio.com (link broken on purpose to avoid indexing) and ive noticed that when you click through onto sub menu items the main top menu item is inactive, it still highlights but you cant click it to get back to the root of this section... any idea how i fix this?

    Hello mark,

    I am not sure I fully understand the issue. Could you please send us the exact steps for reproducing the described behavior? Did you make any custom implementations in the SiteTabstrip user control? Also, it will be very helpful if you provide us with a link to the administration of your web site to figure out what is wrong.

    Thanks for your cooperation in advance.

    Best wishes,

    no customisations to the control have been made.

    try webdev.xrio.com and click on business solutions > industries and then try and click on business solutions again, it doesnt take you back to the business solutions home page.

    Hi mark,

    The reason for this is that the corresponding item in the tabstrip is already marked as selected. To solve the issue you need to remove or comment the following code in the SiteTabstrip user control:

    ~/Sitefinity/UserControls/Navigation/SiteTabstrip.ascx.cs
    Tab item = this.RadTabstrip1.FindTabByUrl(this.ResolveUrl(node2.Url));
    if (item != null
        // here you can set the style for the top-level item
        item.Selected = true

    Do let us know if this helps.

    Regards,
