We are using Sitefinity to design our church's new website and are Sitefinity newbies/.NET oldies.  We want to have functionality where multiple people can have their own blog (which is built-in nicely).  The idea I am having difficulty with is "templatizing" the blogs.  I'm not talking about master pages for the site...I'm talking about assigning different "control templates" to each blog.  We have widely varying technical skills amongst our ministers, so we want to give the most (or least) freedom possible.  My main concern is with our pastor's blog.  We want to have him simply paste his blog message into the system, and the single post page automatically add his photo and his signature.  What we do NOT want, however, is for his photo and signature to be part of the blog entry and, therefore, appear multiple times on his blog home page where the latest 10 are being displayed.  So I would be looking for a way to individually create single post page templates and list templates and be able to assign them to individual blogs.  How would be the best way of achieving that?

    Hi Doug,

BlogPost control has two properties -ItemListTemplatePath and SingleItemTemplatePath in its Advanced Tab that you can use to map individual template for each blogger.

    Kind regards,

Thanks for the response.  That is both awesome and easy.  My only question is where I would find the code for the original control that does the single and item list in SF?  I can't seem to find it in the code (again...this is my first project).  I just want to take the original and edit it a bit.

    Thanks for your quick assistance!

    Hello Doug Shontz,

The control has two main  parts - template which contains HTML and server code that manages all logic. By default the control uses this template as embedded resource. You can download all external templates from your account >> Download section. Changing the code of this control will require to inherit from it and override its accessible properties/methods, but I suppose that you want to change just external template.
