    Hello telerik,

    I'm testing the 3.1 version and have a problem.

    I've a masterpage with 2 ContentPlaceHolders. When I Edit my template, I'm able to dragg controls from the toolbox to the ContentPlaceHolder that is on top of my page.
    The second ContentPlaceHolder is just beneath it and should contain content. This ContentPlaceHolder is grayed out. I cannot drag any control from the toolbox to this placeholder.

    If I use the Add button on the bottom of the page, then it goes okay.

    This worked well in version 3.0. What could be different now?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

    Steps to fix the problem:

        1. Replace class="cmsWrapper" in the div wrapping master page html with id="wrapper"
        2. Replace
            <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="main" runat="server">
            </asp:ContentPlaceHolder>

             with
            <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="main" runat="server" />

    Let us know how it goes.

    Hi Pepi,

    It is working now.

    1. did not changed this
    2. did changed this

    I read in another post after posting this one, that I just had to remove the div which points to the cmsWrapper class.

    Is that also a good solution?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

    You are right, <div class="cmsWrapper"> is obsolete tag and should be removed. Also, it is not necessary to use our CmsForm anymore and you should replace </sf1:CmsForm> tag with the standard <form> tag. Now we have an adapter for the form that solves the problem with editing master pages in Visual Studio Design mode .

    Sincerely yours,
    Pepi
