    Hello,
        I have some questions about content management and workflow.  What I need to know is there some way to allow a user to log in, create a News item for example, save it but have it NOT show up on the website and instead require a Content Editor to log in, review the copy, and then publish it?  Is there a way to 'Unpublish' articles from the website without deleting them?

    (I am currently using the Trial Version of SiteFinity if that matters)

    Thanks!
    -Doug

    Hi Doug,

    This is possible when you use workflow. You can - create, send for approval, approve, publish or decline an item depending on the permissions that you have.

    The workflow for Generic Content providers should be enabled from the web.config

    sample code that enables the workflow for Generic Content modules

    <add name="Generic_Content"  allowWorkflow="true" allowLocalization="true" urlRewriteFormat="[Publication_Date]/[Name].aspx" urlDateTimeFormat="yy-MM-dd" urlWhitespaceChar="_" visible="True" defaultMetaField="Name" securityProviderName="" allowVersioning="True"  allowComments="false" commentsModeration="true" versioningProviderName="" connectionStringName="GenericContentConnection" type="Telerik.Cms.Engine.Data.Providers.DefaultProvider, Telerik.Cms.Engine.Data"/>

    Kind regards,
