    Hi,

I am new to Sitefinity. I am designing and developing a new page template for my fresh Sitefinity project. I am using the default.master file as the parent and then duplication one template after another to make new ones.
How can I access the new templates designed by me in Visual Studio? Only the Default.master shows up under the App_Master folder in studio. Where are my newly created templates stored?? I am trying to put a control within a control. Like for example a menu within an image control because I need to see the menu on the foreground and image in the background on my ultimate web page that I will be designing using this new template that I am trying to develop. Your urgent help/guidance needed please.

    Thanks

    Hi Viren,

When you duplicate a template this creates a virtual copy and there is no physical file. The newly crated templates are stored in the database. If you want to modify the HTML of a given template you need to create .master file in App_Master folder. You can see an element inside another one by controlling the z-index

    Hi Viren,

Pages are also dynamically created. You can use physical static files with Sitefinity, but you cannot edit them in the PageEditor - you cannot drag and drop controls.
