    I have a control that utilizes a timer and an update panel.  I would like for the control to disable the timer when the page that contains the control is being edited.  Is there a way for a control to detect "edit mode" (perhaps an API call or similar)?

    Thanks.

    Hello Kent,

    You can use the code below to detect edit mode of a page

    if (!HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString[ "cmspagemode" ] == "edit" )
        {
           // here add controls to the head
        }

    All the best,
