    Hi all,

Just want to know: Is it possible when you create a custom module based on the Generic Content Module, that you can save the data to another table (another database)? Or is it saved to the Sitefinity backend?

    Hello Daniel,

It is possible if you override the SaveContent method of each view you use. You need to create persistence classes to save and retrieve all date. Actually the idea if GenericContent based modules is to use the buillt-in persistance classes and work only with the API following one common structure.

    All the best,

    Hi Ivan,

Okay, thanks. Then I think indeed it is better to create a custom 'pluggable' module for this.
