We have entered Keywords into the 'Head Content' section of our pages.  When we check with the google web master tools the google bot is not finding our keywords.  What are we doing incorrectly?  Shoul I add a meta tag for keywords and use this feature instead of the 'keyword' feature supplied?

    Hello Steve,

Could you send us the generated html code of the page you are scanning with the webmaster tools? You can put it in a text file and zip it, then attach it to this thread.

    Kind regards,
    Georgi

    Georgi-

You will see our keywords referenced twice; the first [meta name="Keywords"] and the second [<meta name="Generator" content="Sitefinity 3.5.1747.2:3" /].  The first is coming from the page properties entitled 'Keywords'.  The second was my attempt to add keywords via a Meta-tag (I added Balanced Score Card to this list to determine which was generating which) but I chose the 'Keywords' name, not the 'Generator' name.

Neither of these attempts are resulting in the Google Bot seeing our keywords.

I apologize for my ignorance but I can't find the control that allows me to attach a zip to this message.  I clipped the portion of the page that I thought would help you.  Or you can see the page source at www.rmdatacentral.com.

    <head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" /><title>

    Hello Steve,

I checked both the code you sent and your web page, but there is nothing wrong in the syntax. There are no reasons why the keywords remain hidden. Perhaps your web site is not indexed completely yet. We suggest you to remove the additional metatag, because having multiple instances of keywords tag is not allowed by definition.

    All the best,

    Georgi -

I removed the extra meta-tag.  I know that the site is being crawled, but what I don't understand is why the keywords don't show up in the Keyword list from Google.  I will wait this out and see if it changes, but I thought that was the purpose of keywords.

    Hello Steve,

There is really no reason for this behavior if:
    1. The metatag is there
    2. Google has access to the web site.

What you could try is uploading a simple html page to this host (with the same domain), put some keywords and check if google is able to see them.
