I raise this question in the blog, but I figure I can get more info here.  Currently it is not a problem since I limit access to SiteFinity admin section using an HttpModule, but I am interested how to separate the front end users groups from Admin type roles.

If you are using Sitefinity Admin section for controlling membership to a section on the frontside, how do you go about limiting public roles from seeing the sitefinity backend?

I have notice during development a user who can have access to the certain section of the website can also see the Sitefinity Dashboard.

    Hi David Pearson,

Under Advanced Tab >> Permissions you can set whether a give role will have access to the backend or not by setting  CmsAccess right.

    All the best,
