    Hi,
I am facing a unique problem. I created a page, setting "Show in Navigation" to true. The link does not appear on the navigation on ONLY the home page, but appears on rest of the pages of my site.

I checked the HTML of the page and it appears in the HTML as well, but does not seem to be rendered on the page for user to view.

Also, Checked on multiple machines, multiple browsers, etc... cleared the cache.

But am still unable to view it. Please let me know how can this happen.

Client is really frustrated and is unhappy with Sitefinity.

Now, the control is a control registered in web.config and is dragged on every page and the theme of the page is the same across the site. So the question of theme or the CSS also does not arise.

The version of Sitefinity we are using is 3.7 sp3

Thanks in advance and let me know what can be the possible solution.

    Hello Siddesh,

Is this one of the built-in navigation controls / customized built-in control or a custom implementation? I am not able to replicate this issue locally with built-in navigation controls.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Ivan,

This is a custom implementation of Navigation. It works fine on rest all pages of the site. But cant get it to work only on the home page of production site. Works well in development machines and also on staging environment.

I go to the page using the admin portal and the page is displayed correctly in the iframe from admin. But this not the case on actual view i.e. front end.

    Hi Siddesh,

Try putting a break point inside the method where you are populating the control with data and see what is passed there. I don't see from your description what might be the problem.

    Hi,

Forget about the debugging what is strange is - I go to the page try viewing the HTML Source of the page, the element appears but not on the actual view of the page. This is what is baffling me, - and its not the problem with one machine or one browser, we have got this tested on multiple machines and multiple browsers.

Also, I have alias URLs for this page. So it means that the content would remain the same, only the URL would change right?
So, for the alias URLs the navigation is displayed correctly i.e. the elements which does not appear seem to appear in Alias URLs.

    Please help me in this....

    Hi Siddesh,

Please attach several screenshots with the page settings you have in the backend, HTML of the page. Also in your previous reply you said "Works well in development machines and also on staging environment.", now you are saying the opposite "its not the problem with one machine or one browser". So I am not sure how exactly the issue could be replicated and what the problem is.

    Hi Ivan,

Can the HTML change for each Alias, or are the page settings per Alias be different. I dont think so.

so, referring to my last reply I CLEARLY stated that "For Alias URLs the navigation is displayed correctly", so Page Settings and HTML are bound to be the same.

Also, referring to the doubt you had, in my earlier replies, I stated that "Works well in development machines and also on staging environment.", if you read that correctly, I have clearly specified that this issue is on production, so this is correct.

Referring to my earlier reply, I said "its not the problem with one machine or one browser" which means that the PRODUCTION site is tested on multiple machines and multiple browsers. I didnt have any mention of development or staging for you to think this.

Hope I am clear this time.
