First off, i would like to say i am not a Sitefinity guy, i am by nature a php/CF programmer who usually makes his own CMS custom to the client.
but the company i work for has a pre existing Sitefinity 3.2 site and no documentation for it....

I've fumbled around enough that i have gotten mostly what i need to get done.
but now i am at a loss...

i have a control named header, and they want to delete an image out of said header...And i cannot for the life of me figure out where i can go to remove the <A> tag from the header...Every time i hit edit it shows me a form that asks for the (i assume) control id, but does nothing after i give it the ID.....

    S.O.S!

    Thank you,

    Matt Heinke

    Hi matthew,

Can you share some code that you use to remove the <a> tag and where you set the ID? Also it is not clear whether you are working in one control or you want to change some data from one control into another control.

    Kind regards,

    Thank you for the reply,
    well, i have an image
    <a id="_lpChatBtn" href="http://server.iad.liveperson.net/hc/81566758/?cmd=file&;amp;file=visitorWantsToChat&amp;site=81566758&amp;byhref=1&amp;imageUrl=http://216.190.227.76/recsolarflash" target="chat81566758" onclick="lpButtonCTTUrl = 'http://server.iad.liveperson.net/hc/81566758/?cmd=file&;amp;file=visitorWantsToChat&amp;site=81566758&amp;imageUrl=http://216.218.227.76/recsolarflash&;amp;referrer='+escape(document.location); lpButtonCTTUrl = (typeof(lpAppendVisitorCookies) != 'undefined' ? lpAppendVisitorCookies(lpButtonCTTUrl) : lpButtonCTTUrl); window.open(lpButtonCTTUrl,'chat81566758','width=173,height=41,resizable=yes');return false;"><br>                                    <img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-color: initial; " name="hcIcon" src="http://server.iad.liveperson.net/hc/81566758/?cmd=repstate&amp;site=81566758&amp;channel=web&amp;&amp;ver=1&amp;image<br>Url=http://216.218.227.103/images&;amp;d=1293649050467"></a>

i want to remove the entire thing.
the image is placed in a user control named header
that i cant seem to download, edit, or anything
(it also should be noted that i do not have FTP or SSH access to the box.)
i was told that the WYSIWYG should allow me to do everything... but so far i have not been able to get it to work (more then likely a user error..as i said ive had no training))

here is a screenshot of what the edit button sends me too...
for reference, the chat now button is what i need to remove.

    once again,
thank you for taking the time to look into this.

    Hello matthew,

The person that has created this control has not exposed  a public property that allows you to manipulate this control from the UI. You need the source of this header control and see how this image is added and how the control data is populated.

We recommend using a public properties and control designers to avoid such issues in the future.

    Hey Matt,

It almost looks like all your content is contained within the control itself (hard-coded?). With no RadEditor (wysiwyg) showing up to edit any content, you might have to look into the control itself. FTP/root/some sort of access I'm assuming would be needed, however.
