    Hello,

I have a simple usercontrol with generic content and an additionl property. Control works fine. Neither the generic content nor the properties have issues.

But after working a while in Sitefinity I can't change the property value. I can see the dialog, I can change the value in the textbox, but after confirmation the old value appears.
Another issue: In the Sitefinity Edit-Dialog I can edit the generic content. If I want to change to the "properties"-Tab I can see the Property-Dialog, but the "property"-Tab isn't highlighted. This also happend only after working a while in Sitefinity.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas Schmidt,

It is not possible to wrap GenericContent control in a user control. You have to create a custom class that inherits from GenericContent. Please follow the logic in this KB article How to wrap a Generic Content control in 3.6 SP1
