    Hi,

    I want something like Publish/unpublished in blog posts. Is there any built-in feature in enterprise or standard edition?
    if not, how should i proceed to achieve this?

    i have seen the online demo of sitefinity, In Pages i can see the Published/Approved...etc option, but there is'nt any thing like in Blog/news posts.

    Hello Muhammad Saqib,

    The standard edition supports Workflow. You can enable it from the web.confing - Blogs provider. Another option is working with Publication and Expiration dates. When the Expiration date passes the post is removed from the front end. It remains at the backend until you remove it manually from UI or programmaticaly using ContentManager API - manager.DeleteContent(cnt.ID);

    Sincerely yours,

    Thats Nice!..
    so it means Standard edition do  have the support of these publish/ubpublish any content item either in blogs or news.
    Actually i was unable to find it in demo.sitefinity.com, so i thought Sitefinity does not support this in either versions.

    Hello Muhammad Saqib,

    Thank you for getting back to us.

    Workflow is not turned on in Standard Edition by default. So this is why you have not been able to see it on the demo site too. In order to see how to turn on workflow either for CMS pages or content items from Generic Content based modules, please take a look at our User Manual. To put it short here are what changes you have to apply to your web config to enable workflow:

    For pages:
    <add connectionStringName="DefaultConnection" allowPageHistory="true" allowPageWorkflow="true" pageWorkflowType="Telerik.Samples.CustomPageWorkflow" cachingProviderName="ASPNET" name="Sitefinity" type="Telerik.Cms.Data.DefaultProvider, Telerik.Cms.Data" />

    For each generic content based module (e.g. News):
    <add name="News" allowLocalization="true" urlRewriteFormat="ID={GUID}" urlDateTimeFormat="yy-MM-dd" urlWhitespaceChar="_" visible="False" defaultMetaField="Title" securityProviderName="" allowVersioning="True" allowComments="true" applicationName="/News" versioningProviderName="" commentsModeration="true" allowWorflow="true" connectionStringName="GenericContentConnection" type="Telerik.News.Data.DefaultNewsProvider, Telerik.News.Data" />

    Best wishes,
    Radoslav Georgiev
