    Hi, I'm not sure if I should post telerik control-related issues in the sitefinity boards but it is for a sitefinity site, so I hope you can help!

    I've developed an intra site module, and I'm working in the edit mode of the formview for changing items. Each item can have an associated document, the path to which is stored in the database. In the edit formview, I want to be able to display the filename in a label, as well as a "Delete" linkbutton that will erase the file and blank out the associated label which is bound to the db column.

    I've placed the label and the linkbutton inside of a radajax panel, and if I click the delete button, it does indeed erase the file and blank out the label, however, it is forcing a FULL postback to do so. I want it to do this with the ajax so that a postback is NOT performed. here's an example of my codE:

    <label>RFP:</label>
    <telerik:RadAjaxPanel ID="RadAjaxPanel1">
        <asp:Label ID="RFPLabel" runat="server" Text='<%# Bind("PDF") %>' />
        <asp:LinkButton ID="RFPDelete" runat="server" Text="Delete" CommandArgument='<%# Eval("PDF") %>' CommandName="RFP" OnClick="DeleteDocument_Click"   Visible='<%# !string.IsNullOrEmpty(Eval("PDF").ToString()) %>' />
    </telerik:RadAjaxPanel>
    <telerik:RadUpload ID="rfpUpload" runat="server" ControlObjectsVisibility="None" TargetFolder="/files/docs/bids" AllowedFileExtensions=".pdf, .doc" />
    </li>

    is there something else I need to do to prevent the page from posting back?

    thanks!

    forgot to mention, I replaced the radajaxpanel with the standard updatepanel and it does behave correctly. Guess i'll just leave it at that for now but I would like to know what the problem is. Thanks!

    Hi SelArom,

    Please refer to the following online article that discusses how to ajaxify controls wrapped in RadAjaxPanel.

    Do let us know if you need any further assistance.
