    Hi all,

    I'm trying to use FlowPlayer inside my website.
    The configuration of the FlowPlayer is done with Javascript.

    I have to create a link to an mp3 file inside my library. I setup the library to use the filesystem instead of the database to store the files.

    This is the configuration for FlowPlayer:

    $('document').ready(function(){

        // Install flowplayer into container
        $f("player", fpPlayer,
        {
            key: flowPlayerKeys[location.host] || '',

            // first entry in the playlist works as splash and second entry is the audio file
            playlist: [

            // setup album cover scaling
                {url: fpStill, scaling: 'orig' },

            // our MP3 does not start automatically
                {url: fpSource, autoPlay: true }
            ]
        });
    });

    Inside 'fpSource' I put the link to the library item like this:

    fpSource='/evangelischegemeente/Media/Speaches/speach_1.sflb.ashx'

    I also tried this:

    fpSource='/evangelischegemeente/Media/Speaches/speach_1.mp3'

    using a handler to .mp3 files. If I access this last link directly inside the url, it wan't to download the .mp3. So that seems to work, but inside flowplayer it won't?

    If I use the test url of flowplayer:

    fpSource='http://vod01.netdna.com/vod/demo.flowplayer/flowplayer-700.flv'

    Then it works.

    How should I create a correct link to an mp3 file?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    Hello Daniel,

    Make sure that you have loaded the audio plug in for flowplayer and fpSource is correct. You could try to use the absolute url of the mp3 file.. Flowplayer will work only with mp3 extension so passing sflb.ashx probably will not recognize the file and you have to change flowplayer js source code.

    Hi Ivan,

    Thanks for pointing me in that direction.
    I read in the manual that the audio plugin should be in the same directory and then Flowplayer would automatically pick it up.

    Problem was that I use the commercial version and it seems that the use of a newer version of the audio plugin is not working.

    Problem solved.

    Thanks,
    Daniel
