    Hi,

I've renamed the blog in our site from the following:

    http://www.shomera.ie/Knowledge_Centre.aspx

    to

    http://www.shomera.ie/our-stories.aspx

This is fine, but now when the user clicks on the 'Categories' on the left hand side of the blog, the links are still:

    http://www.shomera.ie/Knowledge_Centre.aspx?BlogCatID=9465ecc3-9440-4aa5-a1f9-207e5b6626d6

    = no longer in existence!

I've tried adding new categories after I have renamed the blog, but they are still coming up with the old URL. The 'Archives' links on the left hand side of the blog work fine, but I can't find where to change the categories... any pointers?

    thanks,

    Dave.

    Hi David Byrne,

Thank you for using our services.

Before we proceed with this issue we need to set some things clear. Did you change the name of the page on which you display blog posts or you have changed the blog's name. Right now it seems like you have changed the name of the page you are displaying blog posts. If you have changed the name of the page did you also change the Blog Page setting from the blog's settings as in attached image. This should point to the proper page containing a blog posts control.

    Best wishes,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I have changed both the blog name and the page name in the settings - please see the attached image.

    Hi David Byrne,

There might be some cache left for the old blog. Could you please recycle the application pool and see what the results would be.

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

I've recycled application pools, and even tried restarting IIS - no joy. The URL's haven't changed.

Surely you can replicate this on your side - I've done it now on the production server (over which I have no control) and on my own localhost.

Can you please let me know the database tables where the URL's might be stored, so I can check if these have been changed and perhaps manually make the change? I won't be able to restart the production IIS server, but I've got to get this job done for a client urgently, so I really need a workaround.

    thanks,

    Dave.

    Hello David Byrne,

I am not sure I am taking the same steps as you to reach this.

I have one blog called Radoslav's Blog, which has the blog page set to ~/blog.aspx and I have the ~/blog.aspx page have Blog Posts control. All displays properly. Then go to ~/blog.asxp page properties and change the the page name to blog1 which changes the url to ~/blog1.aspx, I have category list control which displays categories. I open it for edit and go to its Behavior section and edit the url pointing to a blog page to he new page url. Finally I go to the blogs module select my blog change the name of the blog and change the blog page to ~/blog1.aspx. It works without problem.

Please go to our demo website and make modifications to reproduce this error, then notify us and we will go check it out.

    All the best,

    Hi David Byrne,

Please read my last response. You should go to the Categories List control Behavior section and set the new url. I am sorry I forgot to attach an image for reference.

    Hi David Byrne,

Drag/drop CategoriesList control on a page. Then expand Behavior category as the screenshot shows. the CategoriesList control is obsolete. Please use CategoriesTree instead. The CategoriesTree includes all CategoriesList properties and functionality.
