    Sorry what I should say is that I have a generic content module categorized as reporters. When you set the description and so on you can upload a photo and set a caption. I would like to display this caption. What is the code for grabbing and displaying the caption.

    Also on the blogs when I put the blog post in and upload a photo is there some way to out a caption on a photo?

    Hello Steven Lancaster,

    Please take a look at this blog post - Extend RadEditor dialogs to add captions for images.

    That will work with the images, but I am trying to pull the caption for Reporters. I will upload a jpg of what I am talking about. The highlighted part is what I am wanting to display. I know there is a simple way to do it.

    Hi Steven Lancaster,

    Thank you for getting back to us.

    From the image you have attached we can see that you mean how to access data from a custom meta field. You should have started with this as we do not have Reporter's photo and caption meta fields by default in Sitefinity. What you should do first is to check the exact meta field names in the web.config (sample bellow):
    <add key="News.ReporterCaption" valueType="ShortText" visible="True" searchable="True" sortable="True" defaultValue=""/>

    Then go and edit the control template for displaying news items (either for lists of items or single item depending where you want to show this). Simply add a literal with the same id to the control template. For example in ~/Sitefinity/ControlTemplates/News/ListPageDetail.ascx for displaying single news items add literal:
    <asp:Literal ID=ReporterCaption" runat="server"/>

    Sincerely yours,
