    Greetings,

We need to implement custom modules (products, etc.) and add search index to each, so that their data is searchable as part of the global site search.

We've read the various blogs and knowledge base articles describing the creation of custom modules (including the Products Module), but have missed the part regarding the way to have a search index attached to such modules.

Anyone can point us in the right direction?

    Hi Laura,

Contacts module is not generic content based module. You need to change the Index provider and add logic that gets the content properties. Everything else should work without issues.
