    I received pointers from Sitefinity on how to get a sub-domain to point to a page group within a Sitefinity application. We went ahead, finished the application (still in 3.6) only to discover that in the web.config it seems that 3.6 does not support the following:
    <cms defaultProvider="Sitefinity" ...>
        <urlMappings type="Custom" customService="UserUrlMappingService, App_Code"
                <add key="[username]" value="[page_path]" />
        </urlMappings>
        ...
    ...as pointed out in your article: Creating a custom URL Mapping Service

    So now we have an application that is about to go live and no way to map to a page group as suggested in the above mentioned article.

    Any suggestions on how we can do this manually? With code? With Asp.net's UrlMapping?

    Thanks
    Jacques

    Hello J.Hoventer,

    In the previous thread where you have asked about domain-page mapping we have linked a thread which samples the code needed to make domain-page mapping. The KB article you are mentioning in the current thread also relates to 3.7 or later so the only possible way to do this manually to would be to take the whole implementation of the UrlMappingServiceBase and implement it on your own. The easiest way however would be to upgrade the website to the latest current official version.

    Hi Radoslav,

    I've mentioned this a few times before, but simply upgrading at will is not always an option.

    To implement this logic manually are you referring to this page:
