    We are currently in the process of converting our website over from coldfusion to .net.  Our applications are still in ColdFusion.  The links for our applications contain query strings and we have a couple of issues that are occuring.

    In order for our links to work correcty, we are using a hander in .net to perform some functions and then redirects to the correct application based on the query strings within the link.  When I add the link via html for a Sitefinity Shared content module, I use %2526 for all of the ampersands.  I am able to save the content and the links work correctly.  However, if I open the module and edit any text whatsoever, the links change to &.  Now the application links do not work correctly.  So for issue #1 is there a way to fix this so we do not have to enter %2526 evertime we edit content with these links?  We are currently using Sitefinity 3.7 sp1.

    For issue #2, is there a way to use an external page link to our Coldfusion pages?
    sample link
    href="/InternalRedirect.ashx?url=/yourshare_popup.cfm?frames=0&app_method=6&p=plat&hideproducer=1"

    Hello Bart Welch,

    Thank you for using our services.

    Issue #1 is caused by a bug in Sitefinity's link resolver which is run every time you save a content item. This issue has been resolved in the latest SP release - Sitefinity 3.7 SP4. The only option to overcome this issue is by upgrading to this release.

    Issue #2 - if you can add the cold fusion pages to the Sitefinity's Site Map as external pages. Then they will appear in your menus and you will be able to link to them as if they are Sitefinity pages.

    Kind regards,

    thank you for your help.  We will look into either updated to SP4 or wait until 4.0 comes out.

    For issue #2 we are using a redirect handler that performs some functions before opening the ColdFusion Page.  Is there a way to include the redirect within the external page link?

    Hello Bart,

    The external page is just a link added to the SiteMap that points to an external resource. Basically you cannot make any manipulates to the actual content of this resource in Sitefinity.
