    Greetings,

I was digging around trying to figure out a way to allow certain authenticated users the ability to edit content on my web site, but without logging into the CMS system.  I came across the following video about Inline content editing (http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/video-tutorials/pages-management/inline-editing.aspx), but I can't seem to find a way to enable it.  Is this a 4.x only feature, or am I missing something obvious in my setup?

    Thanks!

    Hello Phillip,

This is feature available in 4.0 edition only. It is implemented since RC2 build.

    Thanks for the super-fast reply!

Since there's not an out-of-the box way to do this, maybe you can point me in the right direction as to how I can put this together myself.

I have several pages within a page group on my site that I'd like to allow members of a particular role to be able edit and add content to.  However, I don't really want to make them log into the CMS system.  Also, I'd like any content they enter to go through the existing CMS workflow process where it is submitted for approval/publication. I was originally thinking about creating a custom version of the News module to accomplish this, since the content entered could also be easily indexed for searching, and plugged into the workflow process, but I'm not sure if this is the right direction, or even at all feasible.

Have yourself (or anyone else out there) come across this need before, and if so, do you have any guidance on how I might approach it?

    Thanks!
