I have only been dealing with web applications for a short 5 months, i have two asp.net web applications completed and really want to focus on mastering Sitefinity. With the short experience that i have is this going to be over my head and if so what should i be doing to get me up to speed. I am now reading from start to finish the developers manual and the users manual, i am also going through every thing i can on the Sitefinity site to learn more. Needless to say some things are well over my head. I am working on a new project that will most definitely need the Sitefinity CMS to pull this off and i need to master it the best i can.  What is my best option for training, help or just old fashioned elbow grease to get the job done.

    Hello John,

As a matter of fact, Sitefinity CMS is a very user friendly application. People with really insignificant ASP.NET experience can create and modify web sites. If you have already developed web applications using the ASP language, this is a pretty solid basis for handling Sitefinity. There are a lot of controls which can be used only by installing the application, and of course, you can add your custom ones if needed.

The Developer Manual and User Manual contain a lot of information which cover almost every single module of the product. Also, you can refer to the Sitefinity Blogs on our web site: http://blogs.sitefinity.com/, where you can find additional useful information.

The Sitefinity Videos are also a good intro to Sitefinity, so can look at them if you haven't done so.

And, last but not least, we will be more than happy to assist you if anything goes wrong.

    Regards,
    Nikifor

Thank you for your reply.  I had been going through both the user manual and the developer manual but skimming. I am now going back through line by line and working with the online demo to get a grip on this. I have already seen from today things i have missed but somethings i am still new too. Thanks again for your tips and advice, i greatly appreciate it.
