I'm trying to SSL enable a few pages in sitefinity. I've used the selfsigned tool in IIS 7 to set up the certificate, and enabled the Require SSL feature for the page, but when I navigate to the page I get prompted to display non SSL items.

since the page is a master page and has a template in a non-ssl directory, I'm guessing I'll always get this prompt. Is there a way around this without making a separate ssl enable template and theme?

    thanks!

    Hello SelArom,

Unfortunately, there is no workaround for this. This is the implementation in all browsers and we could not prevent it. The security policies say that the user should be prompted if there are non-secured items shown in secured pages.

i understand the limitation as far as being prompted, but what I want to know is how can I change it so that all of the content IS secured so that the user is NOT prompted? I tried telling it to NOT display the non-secure items and it showed the full page, no images are missing... so how can I determine what is causing this prompt so I can eliminate it?

    Hi SelArom,

Well, there's no way for us to tell which element may cause this prompt to appear, but you can take a look at this discussion:
ASP.NET - Non secure items on SSL in asp.net.
I find it pretty interesting and it covers the same issue you're having.
