    Our site is set up in two areas, one public and one private. The private area is placed under a Page Group, which the subdomain is mapped to.

    So,

    ~/public pages
    ~/PrivatePageGroup/private pages

    with private.ourdomain.com mapped to PrivatePageGroup.

    Ww would like separate search indexes, one for the public pages and one for the private pages. When I go to add a search index, none of the subdomain pages appear in the modal box for selecting the Starting Node, only the public pages are visible. How do I go about setting up the index for the private domain mapped subdomain?

    Hi Jeff Sodeman,

    How have you mapped the subdomain? Do you use domain-page mapping, if so can you paste the urlMappings ? Does the private pages use "Show in Navigation" - False and which is the version of Sitefinity you use ( there is a fix in Sitefinity 3.7 SP4) related to similar behavior.

    Kind regards,

    <urlMappings>
                    <add key="private.ourdomain.com" value="PrivatePageGroup" shared="false" />
                </urlMappings>

    Show in navigation = False for the PrivatePageGroup page, but it's True for the pages under that.

    We're running
    Sitefinity 3.7.2096.2

    Is Domain mapping using the <urlMappings/> config section supported in Sitefinity 4.0 RC (4.0.910.0) build?

    Hello Timothy,

    Domain mapping is not supported in the RC. I hope that we will be able to finish the implementation for the official release.
