    Hi,
    I have completed my first work on Sitefinity for my company and the site is live now. Now I have issue with the speed of the site. when I check the response time it is 5 times than normal. The size of my database is around 1.5 GB.
    I checked the server configuration and everything. Nothing wrong with them.

    Can you please tell me about this? Is this is related with sitefinity structure?

    Thanks,
    Manzoor

    Hello Hydo L,

    Observe the response time from SQL- Sitefinity and vice verca. When you was working on the website did you noticed any performance issues? Are there any CPU/RAM peaks.
    You could also refer to Tips to optimize your website performance. If you use a version prior 3.7 SP3, please upgrade to the last official release.

    Best wishes,

    Hi,

     we did the changes and the website is fast. response time is now normal.

    But the CMS is very slow still. It is taking more time even to load the dash board. Any idea?

    Thanks,
    Manzoor

    Hi Hydo L,

    I suggest that you should upgrade to Sitefinity 3.7 SP3. In SP3 we made performance improvements to the Dashboard and Pages section.

    Currently you can modify the following if loop of Sitefinity/Admin/Defaulr.aspx.cs

    from

    Telerik.Cms.Security.PagePermission viewPerm =
                    new Telerik.Cms.Security.PagePermission(manager.GetRootPage(), Telerik.Cms.Security.PageRights.View);
                if (viewPerm.CheckDemand())
                {
                    IList pages = manager.GetPages();
                    inTrayInfo = new PagesInTrayInfo((string)this.GetLocalResourceObject("Pages"), (string)this.GetLocalResourceObject("RecentlyModified"));
                    inTrayInfo.SortBy = "DateModified";
                    inTrayInfo.SortDirection = System.ComponentModel.ListSortDirection.Descending;
                    dbbPages.DataSource = inTrayInfo.GetAsDataSource();
                    dbbPages.DataBind();
                }
                else
                {
                    dbbPages.Visible = false;
                }

    to

    Telerik.Cms.Security.PagePermission viewPerm =
                    new Telerik.Cms.Security.PagePermission(manager.GetRootPage(), Telerik.Cms.Security.PageRights.View);
                if (viewPerm.CheckDemand())
                {

                    inTrayInfo = new PagesInTrayInfo((string)this.GetLocalResourceObject("Pages"), (string)this.GetLocalResourceObject("RecentlyModified"));
                    inTrayInfo.SortBy = "DateModified";
                    inTrayInfo.SortDirection = System.ComponentModel.ListSortDirection.Descending;
                    dbbPages.DataSource = inTrayInfo.GetAsDataSource();
                    dbbPages.DataBind();
                }
                else
                {
                    dbbPages.Visible = false;
                }

    But you should better upgrade to SP3.

    Sincerely yours,
    Ivan Dimitrov
