    Hello shraddha,

    Thank you for using our services.

    Since Sitefinity 3.7 SP2 we do have additional feature to the page history. We have a restore feature which restores the selected version of a page without destroying versions older than the selected one. By default this is not turned on. To turn this on there is a link button in the ~/Sitefinity/Admin/Controltemplates/Pages/PageHistory.ascx that has to be made visible. The control ID is RestoreButton.

    If you are using a version older thatn Sitefinity 3.7 SP2 this feature will not be available so I suggest that you upgrade to at least this version.

    Kind regards,

    Hi,
    Thanx for the reply.
    I have upgrated my website from SP1 to SP3 to use restore functionality, and I want to use same database which is in oracle as I have almost done with all my content and functionality in that database.
    But when I use my website migrated to 3.7 SP3 with that database, some of the database procedures are giving error. Can you please provide the list of database objects modified from SP1 to SP3 so that I can replace only those objects.

    Hi shraddha,

    Thank you for getting back to me.

    If you are using Oracle as a database you have to change this in your website's web.config file:
    <dataAccess defaultConnection="DefaultConnection">
        <connections>
            <add name="DefaultConnection" driver="Telerik.DataAccess.DefaultOracleProvider, Telerik.DataAccess.OracleProvider" connectionStringName="Sitefinity" />
            <add name="GenericContentConnection" driver="Telerik.Cms.Engine.Data.Providers.GCSql2005Provider, Telerik.Cms.Engine.Data" connectionStringName="Sitefinity" />
            </connections>
     </dataAccess>

    Also make sure that there is no other website with older version connected to the same database.

    Hi,
    Thanx for the reply.
    I have already changed the web.config thing that you have mentioned, Error that I am getting is
    "wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'SF_CMSPAGECONTENT_UPD'". and I can see

    @P_WorkflowStatus

    NUMBER, @P_LastModifier nvarchar2(50)  these 2 parameters new in new database of SP3,
     which are not there in my previous database for mentioned procedure. That means object 'SF_CMSPAGECONTENT_UPD' has been changed in SP3 version.
    I wanted to know what are the other database objects that has been changed in SP3 as compared to SP1 version.

    Hello shraddha,

    When you upgrade a website to a newer version of Sitefinity the ORM which we use for connection to the data layer will automatically upgrade database objects, this does not need to be done manually. The error you are experiencing is reproducible if you have more than one  website on different versions of Sitefinity connected to the same database.
