In the forum module, is there a way for administrators to create sticky notes/threads?

The word "sticky" appears only once on the entire Sitefinity site but there might be a more formal name for these threads!

    Hello Spencer and Jeff,

Unfortunately this feature is missing in the Forums module coming with Sitefinity. We have plans to make a lot of enhancements in Forums, but we are currently concentrated on stabilization and security and cannot commit to a timeframe for new features. The earliest time we can ship such a feature would be the beginning of next year.

Please excuse us for the inconvenience.

    Sincerely yours,
    Slavo

It appears that the main Telerik site, said to be running on SiteFinity has implemented "sticky" posts on their forums and also some badges as well.

Are these features in the core yet or did you just highly customize it for your Telerik implementation.

BTW, it goes a long way to see you using this application to support your own site.  When will the SiteFinity site be a showcase as well?

    Hello Cameron Horton,

The forums on telerik.com are using the old implementation before the site was transferred to Sitefinity. So the features you see there are not available in the core of the CMS. However, for version 4.0 we are planning to rework the Forums module of Sitefinity and include a lot of requested features, sticky posts among them. We cannot give a date for the 4.0 release yet, but we are in the process of updating the product roadmap, so you'll have some more details soon.

As for sitefinity.com, yes, we also plan to migrate it to Sitefinity and we've started work on that, but cannot tell when exactly it is going to happen.

    Sincerely yours,
    Slavo
